Associate professor Dale Hample received two Honorable Mentions in the Washington Post's weekly "Style Invitational." The Week 739 contest, pubished on Saturday, December 8, 2007, asked for "fictitious revelations about current or former politicians." Click here for a link to the online version of the contest.
Hample's two recognized entries were "Sen. Larry Craig has just announced that after leaving office he will be the national spokesperson for a campaign to raise awareness of Restless Leg Syndrome," and "Early in their marriage, Dick and Lynne Cheney decided that if they had a son, they would name him Anakin."

The first place winning entry, from Joel Knanishu of Rock Island, Illinois, was "The venue for JFK's visit to Germany was changed from Hamburg on the advice of his speechwriter."
