On Thursday, October 1, 2009, the Department of Communication co-hosted the 2009 Grunig Lecture. Along with the Institute for Public Relations, UM brought to campus for the second annual Grunig Lecture four noted public relations professionals who focused their discussion on " Integrating Strategic Communication with Public Affairs: When Public Affairs, Public Relations and Issues Management Converge."
