Reimer Co-Authors Study of Group Discussions, Decisions

Assistant professor Torsten Reimer, along with several colleagues from around the world, have recently published an analysis of group decision-making and group discussions. The article, entitled "Effects of the Information Environment on Group Discussions and Decisions in the Hidden-Profile Paradigm," was the lead essay in the March 2007 issue of Communication Monographs.

The analysis tested the Information Sampling Model, exploring the different consequences for group discussion and decision-making as dependent upon the use of common versus unique information cues.
