Students Receive Recognition in PRSA Essay Competition
Ph.D. student Katie Place has won the 2008 Betsy Plank Graduate Research Competition from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Her paper, entitled "What's Guiding the Profession: An Examination of Public Relations Ethics" was selected in open competition and will receive a $1000 award and recognition at the annual meeting of PRSA. Ms. Place will present her research at the convention in Detroit in October, 2008.
M.A. student Renata Schloss received an "honorable mention" designation in the Plank competition for her essay entitled "EcoMoms' Engagement in Environmental Activity." Ms. Schloss will also present her essay at the PRSA convention.
