Toth Keynotes International Conference; Receives Diversity Award
Professor and Department chair Elizabeth Toth presented a keynote address at the 2008 International Forum on Public Relations and Advertising, held on December 6-7, 2008 and sponsored by the City University of Hong Kong. Joining a roster of scholars from around the world, Toth spoke on "Crisis Communication: The Public First/Organization Last Paradox," and versions of her keynote address are available at the conference Web site.
Toth is also the 2008 recipient of the Diversity Champion Award, presented by the Public Relations Society of America, National Capital Chapter. The Diversity Champion Award recognizes dedication to promoting and preserving ethnic and cultural diversity within PRSA and the practice of public relations. Toth received the award at a ceremony on December 11, 2008, held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.
