Caroline Harper, Coordinator for
the Department’s undergraduate program at the Universities
at Shady Grove, began her college education at Lamar
University in Beaumont, Texas. While at Lamar, her major was
Industrial Engineering. Shortly after taking an introduction to
communication class she decided to pursue her degree in communication
rather than industrial engineering. In addition to a Bachelor of
Arts degree in communication, Caroline received her Master of Arts
degree in communication with a specialty in public relations from
the University of Houston. Prior
to her employment at the University of Maryland, she was a Program
Coordinator of Student Activities at Montgomery College at The Woodlands,
Texas. Her main interests are cultural communication, women’s
studies, and public relations.
