Leslie D. Dinauer (Ph.D.,
Univeristy of Maryland, 2003), Research Associate, is interested in
persuasion and attitude change. social networks, consumer behavior
and quantitative research methods. Her current research examines competing
theories of attitudes that suggest particular cognitive structures
of attitude concepts and the dynamic effects, if any, that such structures
might impose upon attitudes and attitude change. Findings will be
applied practically to improve the efficacy of communication programs
designed to help people in financial distress change their spending
habits. Selected publications: Dinauer, L, D. (2003). Attitude and
belief change in explicit and implicit concept hierarchies: A comparison
of two models of inter-attitudinal structure. Dissertation Abstracts
