Professional Interests: 

Sarah Vick is a Ph.D. student in Rhetoric & Political Culture and is pursuing a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies. She graduated from Salem College with B.A.s in Spanish Language and Literature and Communication in May 2018. There, she was a teaching and digital lab assistant for a digital storytelling class. Vick now teaches COMM 107 Oral Communication: Principles and Practices at the University of Maryland. Her primary research interests include the rhetorics of gender and labor, especially the overlapping areas of LGBTQ+ issues and labor rights in political discourse. Her work often involves archival elements, as is exemplified through a recent Recovering Democracy Archives project.
