Sarah Aghazadeh

Professional Interests: 

Sarah Aghazadeh is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication at the University of Maryland. She earned an interdisciplinary studies M.A. and a B.S. in public relations (minor in political science) from San José State University. Her graduate thesis assessed public diplomacy between the United States and Iran. Though her earlier research focused on political communication, she also has practical experience in the health and fitness industry. She is extremely passionate about preventive health communication and increased health literacy in a variety of mental and physical health contexts. Sarah teaches COMM 107 (Oral Communication) at UMD.
